Diva International — New Client Program

A limited number of chairs, open to new clients — the same technique that's worked runways from Chanel to New York Fashion Week.

Diva International is opening its chairs to a small number of new faces. This is editorial technique, developed on runways and red carpets, offered at model pricing in exchange for a little of your time and trust with our stylists in training.

Spots are limited and the list moves slowly. If you're in, tell us about your hair.

Who We Are

A San Francisco salon since 1999, led by celebrity stylist Diva Poulos and a team trained on runways and red carpets around the world.

What We Are Seeking

New faces willing to sit for our stylists in training — any hair type, any length — in exchange for editorial technique at model pricing.

Mission Statement

To keep our craft sharp by practicing on real clients, and to give every model the same care and precision as our runway work.

The Program

Model days run twice a week, with every stylist except Diva herself.

Accepted models agree to let our stylists (and stylists in training) practice runway-level technique on their hair, and to let us photograph the result for our portfolio, in exchange for model pricing.

Wednesday1:00 – 3:00 PM

Thursday1:00 – 3:00 PM

Open to new clients only, subject to availability.
Must be 18 or older. Under 18 requires a parent or guardian signature.
All stylists available except Diva.
Model photos may be used in Diva International's portfolio and marketing.

Diva Poulos

Founder & Creative Director

Diva has spent more than twenty years in the hair industry. In 1999 she opened Diva International on Market Street, and it has been one of San Francisco's go-to salons ever since.

Her work has taken her from runways and red carpets to classrooms around the world, where she teaches her cutting technique to other stylists. Back at the salon she's still in the details every day — from the first consultation to the final blowout.

Diva doesn't take model-day appointments herself, but every stylist on the team learned from her, so her technique is in every chair.
